
Kristen Maxwell Cooper
Kristen Maxwell Cooper is Editor in Chief of The Forecast and Head of Content, Social & Community at Summersalt. She is the former Editor in Chief and VP of Content at The Knot Worldwide where she led the multi-channel content strategy and execution across The Knot and WeddingWire. During her seven year tenure, she championed and prioritized diversity, inclusion and representation, tackling topics like size inclusivity, race, sustainability and LGBTQ+ rights. She and her team also produced ground-breaking covers for The Knot Magazine, such as the Summer 2021 Pride Issue featuring Jonathan Bennett and Jaymes Vaughan, the first LGBTQ+ couple to appear on the cover of a wedding magazine, and the Fall 2019 Fashion Issue featuring model and body-positivity advocate Hunter McGrady and covering the lack of size inclusivity in the wedding industry.
Prior to The Knot, Kristen was the deputy editor at People StyleWatch. In that role, Kristen was responsible for the magazine’s celebrity fashion coverage, interviewing and collaborating with A-listers like Kate Hudson, Kourtney Kardashian and Sarah Jessica Parker. Kristen has also held editorial positions at Ralph Lauren, Shape, MTV and InStyle.
Kristen has served as a judge for the American Society of Magazine Editors’ Ellie Awards and
has appeared on media outlets such as TODAY, E!, Vh1, Entertainment Tonight and Good Morning America.
While Kristen lived in New York City for 14 years, she was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri and is thrilled to be returning to the midwest with her husband and two daughters.
